Weekend review

This weekend we were all but lazy. The weather was pretty nice so we spent our time out and about.

Friday Chance got off super early as usual. We spent our afternoon groceries shopping and running errands. This past week Chance has began cooking dinner for us! He has no knowledge on cooking so its a slow process but he's rocking it. B especially loved Dada's spaghetti.

After dinner we did our normal friday night ritual of redbox and slushies. Unfortunately (or fortunately), I found some hard to find diapers for a great price in the area before Chance could complete his five minute drive. He was awesome and agreed to go with me to pick them up. I got them for a steal and was so thrilled.

Saturday B woke us up at a normal hour for once. We ended up having plenty of time to get ready for the annual St. Patty's day parade in Norfolk. We met up with some friends and headed to the parade. It was the longest parade I've ever been to. It lasted two hours and it was rather calm and family friendly. B really enjoyed it and it was great to bask in the sun. We ended the night with Chance making us homemade pizza and watching Grown ups 2.

Sunday we had prior engagements. The local car club, 757illest, was hosting a scavenger hunt with proceeds going to relay for life. Chance had mentioned it a few weeks ago and I thought it was a great idea. We all met up in some freezing weather to hear the rules and acquire our list. It was a super fast pace day. I'm crazy competitive and was really determined. B slept most of the alloted 4 hours while Chance and I hunted things down. One of my favorite pictures of the day has to be Chance planking his engine. The girl in the other car was cracking up.

After a grusome day we all met back to hear the winners. We ended up beating out 23 other teams to be first. We recieved a little price but truly the day alone was rewarding enough.

As soon as we arrived back home we headed out again for our friends LO's birthday.  B was WILD. He barely had any pizza or cake but he was pinging off the walls. It was a great time with a friend we haven't seen in months.

Our weekend ended up being awesome. I love being able to spend so much time as a family. B loves being outdoors and we would hate to miss a minute of him.
