Weekend Review

It has been such a great weekend for us! This post will be rather lenghty since we've done so much lately.

We are the proud owners of my dream vehicle! 2013 Nissan Xterra Pro-4X. We decided our cars were to small for both babies and all of the stuff we drag along. We spent three days at the dealership but finally got a great price and left happy. I'm already not loving the one vehicle but we'll remedy that soon enough.

We also got B a new bed! With Ryker on the way we knew that we'd need a toddler bed for B. We moved the crib to our room to make breast feeding easier on me and set the new bed up. He loves that he has a car bed.

We also spent a little time at a car show. B wasn't into taking pictures unfortunately. He's rocking his new Moraki diaper (I'm in love) for memorial day.

Sunday night we spent sometime with our new friends. Combined we have 6 kids and Ryker will make the 7th. We've been hanging out more and more these past two weeks.  It feels great to get along with people that have kids for B to play with. We had a great time and didn't leave until midnight. Everyone was pooped the next day!

Yesterday was the last day the Chrysler Duck was in Norfolk. We finally took time to see it. It was HUGE. So many people were there to see it. B keep quacking and saying yellow. I think it's safe to say he was impressed with the giant bath toy.

We spent our Memorial day weekend as a family. We took time to honor our lost loved ones and remember the freedom they have helped keep possible. Overall we had a great Memorial day weekend and I'm so thankful we spent time together and with our wonderful friends.

Old friends, new friends

This post is really over due. Last week the only friends B and I had left. The Navy was no longer apart of their lives so they packed up and headed back to FL. I must admit I'm still a bit devastated.  I miss having the company of them and literally walking to their house. I loved having someone so near to talk to.

The brighter side of this post is we have some new found friends. A fellow Mommy and blogger kindly invited us over for dinner. It was really great to have a girl to gab with. B just ran around like a mad man... does he ever stay still? They were so sweet and inviting. The food was great and conversation felt easy. I'm feeling very blessed about this. It sucks living so far away from everyone you know. It's really great to have support and friends so close.

Wish my new found friendship luck!

Friends... Who needs em?

A whole year ago we were celebrating the coming of our beautiful baby boy. I invited a lot of people who I thought were friends. Of course they all RSVP'd and said they'd be coming. The morning of the party I got text from one saying she wasn't coming and come party time half of my "friends" didn't show. These friends also included my in laws. Not only was it rude to say you were coming and make me spend more money but it was also such a let down for me.

Lets fast forward a year. B is turning one and I have spent months planning and dreaming about the perfect party. I invited a few close friends I had worked with. When I finally went out of my way to contact them and ask if they were attending they got upset with me. Uh HELLO!? I have goodie bags to make and your child is the only make attending, I have hotdogs and cake to buy and your family is five people! It's so frustrating to me for people to be this way. Not only that but my in laws are planning to attend this. I don't understand why they couldn't be there for me a year ago but as soon as B finally comes they jump in and pretend to be angels.

Sorry for the rant but I so needed to get this out there. I'm sick of fake friends. I'm a grown woman and it's very sad to see all of these people still doing this. I consider ladies on Instagram closer then these so called 'friends'. It's sad that people 15 minutes away can't even RSVP when ladies I've never met send things and friends who live hours away make sure to get B gifts. It's insane.

So thank you to all of my real friends. Thank you to the few people who are true to me and can show my son love.

The girls;

At times I sit back and think about my summer and how I did nothing but work and school... Yeah it was a drag but who really had time to do anything especially when there was no one to do anything with. This post is mainly about my friends... I'm so glad to have finally came upon a group of people I could fully trust. I've made so many memories with the girls in the past few months... We've caused so much trouble and had tons of lounging days with coffee and tv. I'm so appreciative of them and all they have done. They accept me for who I am and even took Mr. Copeland in and treated him like they knew him forever. They are literally the best people a girl could have as friends.

<3 I'm so lucky.
