This has been a great month for Carabox! Both of my partners were from Florida and they were both great! I sent a package to Nikki. She is such a sweetie and I love reading here blog! She's always doing something! You guys should check her out!
I received a wonderful package from Heidi. It was an amazing package and she is a great blogger! She loves super close to me and we plan on meeting up and maybe hitting the zoo one day. She made she my box had everything.
I explained the her about my husband being deployed and she did so much to make up for him missing clubsexy date night. She sent cute little notes to send to him and gave me a forget me not to help remember him.
She also took time to send my sweet boy something. She sent B an awesome crocheted snake as well as a super cute onsie!!! She included books for both of us. I've already started mine and its very inspiring. I read B's to him everyday. I remember reading it when I was small.
She included raspberry chocolate and this awesome new pomegranate chocolate that I'm now addicted to. She sent a sweet birthday banner that we used to celebrate my bday :)
I also got some cute cupcake bookmarks, lotion, cute woodland chip clips (because I like walks in the park) and a candle. The candle smells delish.
She really made this carabox special and was super thoughtful with all of her gifts.
I'm so lucky to have gotten two great partners! I highly recommend Carabox to everyone and hope to see more of you join!

An update on B
B and I have been very lazy since our Daddy left. He however, is growing so fast!
My little guy is now 6.5 months old! He sits up in the bath tub and can even say momma when he's screaming.
A week ago or so we got our valentines pictures done. B was so fussy so I'm surprised that we for any cute pictures. In thankful we did though.
You never really know how fast a little one grows until you have one of your own. He's change so much since January. He's gained a ton of weight (he's nearly 22lbs) and has learned how to do so much now. I'm so blessed to have such a sweet little guy.

Wine, Whine, wine!!!
What's better for a grieving girl then wine?
While Chance was still home we decided to start drinking wine. Unfortunately I have yet to find any I like other then arbor mist.
We've both tried many red wines and don't like any of them. I personally think they're very bitter and try. I love my whiskey but I'm going to be picky with my wine.
Now for the point of my post. In just 9 days (valentines day) I'll be 21!!! I. Really want to go to Olive Garden and try some wine. Does anyone have a suggestion on wines to try? Do you prefer white or red?

Yummy in baby's tummy
My little guy decided back in December that he was done with breast milk in all forms. He want latch to me and gags when I give him a bottle (this includes mixing it with formula). Needless to say when he decided to refuse it I toon action to start him on solids. All babies are different and should be started on solid food at the mothers discretion.
After buying baby food for a few weeks I realized something else had to be done to sad us money. I also like to know exactly what the little guy is eating. I began googling and came across a ton of websites with how to homemade baby food.
Things you'll need:
Food processor
Ice cube trays
Lemon juice
Fruits and veggies
A pot
Knife and cutting boards
Measuring spoons (optional)
B's favorite thing to munch on is bananas. I tend to mix everything with the bananas because their flavor is so strong and it makes him eat things that he normally wouldn't.
For bananas I peel and chop them into pieces. On most websites the next step is to mash them with a fork but I prefer the food processor. I add a TINY bit of lemon juice in the processor to keep the banana from turning brown (this will not hurt baby. It is an ingredient in many organic baby foods). After processing the banana I use a tablespoon to divide the banana into the ice cube trays. I then cover with plastic wrap and place it in the freezer.
While using veggies you must cook them. You can either boil or roast the veggies. With carrots I boil them and then process them. With sweet potatoes I roasted it in the oven at 375 degrees and then cut it open and simply scraped the contents out. Once again I measure these out and place them in the ice cube trays.
When you're ready to use your baby food pop a few cubes into a bowl and defrost them in the microwave. Three one tablespoon cubes equals one container of baby food (3.5oz roughly). My little one tends to eat more then three cubes so I pop a few more out.
Making your baby food cuts the cost down to help your family budget. Not only does it cut cost but it also allows you to monitor exactly what your baby is taking in. It's totally worth it!
