Newborn must haves;

I've seen so many blogs on the must haves for a new baby. I read up and took notes on them all. After four months of living with a bundle of joy, I can officially say I have my list of must haves!!!

One of the things we use the most is Gripe water. I'm partial to Mommy's BLISS. It tends to work the best for B. We've tried a few other kinds but keep going back to this.
you can find it here.

I also LOVE my Boppy pillow. It's great for feeding baby (breast feeding and bottle feeding), taking on road trips, and propping baby up on. We use it for everything. I actually have two, one for upstairs and one for downstairs.
You can find it here.

Here recently B has had a problem getting to sleep. I read on one of my favorite blogs that here baby loved this cute little seahorse. you push his tummy and he sings lullabies for eight minutes. This helps calm B down when hes fussing and puts him to sleep.

you can find it  here.

We received a Rock and Play sleeper from my MIL and B has slept in it every single night. It's extremely light weight so it's great for travel also! Perfect for the first few nighst with your little one and great for reflux babies!

you can find it here.

This bath has to be one of my favorite things ever. I pinned it on Pinterest and just knew this would be the bath we used. It's not hard and plastic like normal infant baths. It's a great foam flower covered with velvet fabric. It doubles as a mat for tummy time!

you can find it here.

B is extremely partial to his swing. He takes naps in it and plays with Daddy in it as well. So glad we have one.

I am in love with these sleep sacks. We can't really swaddle B anymore because he always breaks free. These zip up the front and keep him nice and snuggly at night. They also make it very easy to change him at night.

I really hope this helps some of you with little ones or little ones on the way! These products have made these first few months so much better for us all!
(I would have listed Pacis but that is definitely something each parent has their own opinions on. They have helped our little reflux baby though.)

Why does thanks come once a year?

Yesterday I happened to see a million different post dedicated to being thankful.

I love holidays just as much as the next person. The thing I don't get is why we show the certain emotion once a year. Valentines, Fourth of July, Veterans Day, and Thanksgiving are a few of the holidays I believe should be celebrated everyday. You should always let your love one know you love them. You should always be patriotic. You should always thanks your Veterans, and you should always show what you're thankful for. Even with saying this I know I'm guilty at not showing these things all of the time.

So enough of my anti holiday rant and a little about what in thankful for.

I'm thankful that this past year has been so rewarding for me. I'm thankful for all of my friends and family back home in FL. I'm thankful for my sweet baby boy that we're blessed with. I'm thankful for my freedom. I'm extremely thankful for my wonderful husband. Without him none of this would be possible. He's been such. A great Daddy to our son, he provides for us and makes sure I have all the means to be comfortable, he protects his country without complaining, and he loves me like a women would crave to be loved.

I am so so extremely blessed this year just as I am every year. I hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving with their families. We ended up spending it on the ship since Chance had duty. He's had duty on thanksgiving all four years he's been in the Navy! Today we'll be feasting at home with a good family friend.

4 months;

My sweet sweet little man is 4 months today!!

Time flys by so fast when you have a little one. It seems like just yesterday I was birthing this sweet little boy!

B is such a joy! He giggles and just loves when you mimic him. He's always talking and singing at us. He looks for mommy and daddy and cries when were not close! His favorite thing in the world is to swing. He swings with his paci and seahorse (suggested by the wonderful Toni) and goes straight to sleep. He also loves his feet and Roscoe. He tries to grab Roscoe's mustache and laughs when Roscoe licks him.

He's definitely our little ray of sunshine. He still has bad reflux though. I have elected to stop the medicine. It makes him spit up more and doesn't do a thing to help the poor guy. Breast feeding has actually gotten harder. He screams at the breast 75% of the time. This results in a lot of tears and stress. I hate having to result to a bottle but I know my little guy has to eat!

If anyone has any tips on dealing with the reflux and fussiness is be so happy to hear it!

My sweet little family;

Last weekend we had scheduled a family photo shoot. My husband and I began to look through pictures and realized there was literally one of us all together. We ended up buying some new outfits and heading out with our favorite photographer :)

Here's our little sneak peek

Veterans Day;

This holiday is really near and dear to my heart.

Of course as you all know my husband is in the Navy. He's been to war and I respect him and am so proud of him for this. B and I spent our day on the ship with Daddy since it was his duty day. We took our boys pumpkin cheesecake and watched some football with them. I'm so lucky to have a husband in a great division!

My grandfather on my mother's side fought in WWII in the Army.he received a Purple Heart and fought hard. He was in the Philippines and ended up catching a horrible bug. When I say bug it is literal. He died when I was only 7 because of a worm he got from the waters. The doctors had no idea what it was and could not cure him in time. I love my paw paw and am so proud of everything he did for his country even if he didn't really want to.

My grandfather on my fathers side retired from our Navy. He was on the USS Guam for a good portion of his Naval career. He served our country for a very long time. He now has stage 5 melanoma cancer in his spine from the Navy. He is so proud of his career in the Navy and for all he did. He shows his metals and tells his stories like it happened yesterday.

I am so proud of all the men and women who serve and have served our country. I respect them and feel for them each day. I'm proud to be an American and have such brave people to fight for our rights and freedoms!
