I know this doesn't seem like such a big deal but I am so proud of myself!
It's taken me nearly two years to get to this point. I'm still going to try to be a dedicated blogger and I might even do a little give away when I reach 50 followers!!! What do y'all think of that?

InstaTuesday week 14
That's right, once again I'm linking up with Jane for a little InstaTuesday (you might as well just expect this every Tuesday)!!!!
Before sharing my pictures I want to talk about our lazzzzy weekend. We live in Virginia beach so we were in the path of Ms.Sandy. Fortunately for us, we kept power the whole time! I arrived home from Florida Friday only to get a text saying they were going to be doing a sortie (all the ships would head out to sea due to the storm surge). I was really upset that we came home to see Chance and he'd be leaving once again. Thankfully his lovely Captain is very family oriented and let the guys come home for the night. After returning to work the next morning I got a wonderful text saying it was cancelled and he'd be home Sunday! I was so relieved for my husband to be coming home. We mainly day around the house and watched TV but it was really nice to spend time together and have an extra hand with little B.
Now for my Instagram pictures:

InstaTuesday week 13;
I want to apologize to everyone for my lack of post and the sloppiness of what I have posted. Since I'm on vacation I'm been using my phone to post and the capability is very limited! We live in a state forest so they still have no way of getting WiFi to my home. This leaves me with a choice of extremely slow dial up or sloppy 3G.
Once again I'll be Joining Jane and linking up for InstaTuesday. My Instagram is samijcopeland. Head on over and follow me or leave your username and I'll be sure to check you out!
It's so hard for me to chose pictures but most of these are from my trip and the photo a day challenge. I over load on baby pictures but he always does the cutest things!!!

B is three months & The past week;
Has been so extremely hard for me.
Last Tuesday my husband left me to head back to Virginia. I've been without him on underways and duty days before but no long underways since little B has came along. We thought it was best for us to stay behind in FL for an extra week and fly up later. I'm extremely grateful for my family being around but I really miss my husband.
I hate to be that mopey military wife everyone dislikes (I must say I have a friend who post 4 FB statuses a day about her husband....) so I keep my complaining down. It's soooo hard to go without him with little B. of course we've got to talk and I am so glad we did. The first night he had alone he couldn't sleep in our bed and chose the couch. That's really touching for me. It makes me super sad that he was so alone but it also makes me feel good that he misses us so much. I really love my husband and just kind of needed to vent about this week.
Have I mentions that B is doing the motorboat? Or that he rocks by himself? Or that he's three months old now!!!! I'm so far behind!!!
My sweet sweet boy is three months now! He can blow bubble and motorboat. He loves to watch lights and the TV. Like his mommy, he loves to rock and has started doing it by himself!!! He still has horrible reflux and screams in pain often but we try our best to deal with it. Most say he looks like both my husband and I but we still don't know!!!!

Guest blogger :)
Sorry I've been missing in action! We're still home in Florida with everyone fighting over little B.
I do have a guest blogger with a wonderful post is love to share with you. Her name is Katie Moore and she has written this just for all of you!
Healthy Nutrition and Recipe Tips for Mothers-to-Be
Pregnancy is a time when a woman is concerned about everything she eats. After all, she is eating for two. The saying "eating for two" is misleading though. Despite all of my cravings of peanut butter and spicy foods I wanted to give in to, it doesn't mean that I was supposed to be eating twice as much. Eating for two means that you should be getting the right nutrition for your developing baby. A pregnant woman only needs around 300 additional calories per day in the last two trimesters.
Fresh Foods are Better
When fixing meals and snacking, it’s much better for a woman to eat fresh fruits and vegetables than those in a can. Fresh fruits and vegetables contain more nutrients and no salt. Consider planting a garden as a great way to ensure you’re eating as fresh as you can get. I started container gardening on my back porch for things like tomatoes and peppers.
Smaller Meals for Nausea
For women who are experiencing nausea during pregnancy, eating smaller, more frequent meals will help with symptoms. Eating this way keeps blood sugar levels more stable. I experienced morning sickness for what felt like my entire pregnancy and smaller snacks and meals certainly helped keep my stomach settled. A quick health tip is to consider eating a few baby carrots when your stomach is upset instead of eating crackers—you can eat and feel better without loading up on carbohydrates.
Protein
During pregnancy, protein is vital for preventing eclampsia, or pregnancy induced high blood pressure. There are many food sources for protein, such as lean meat, beans, eggs, tofu, peanut butter and cheeses. A pregnant woman should eat approximately 70 grams of protein daily.
Nutrition Guides
Nutrition information can get confusing whether you’re pregnant or not. Keep a few reputable resources handy—whether you print them off and hang them on your fridge or you find an app to download on your smart phone—and refer to them whenever you’re wondering if you’re getting enough of a certain food group or to make sure you’re not indulging in a food on the ‘avoid’ list.
The March of Dimes has a comprehensive nutrition guide for pregnant women. Another comprehensive nutritional guide for expectant mothers is from the USDA, called Choose My Plate, which has pages and information exclusively for pregnant women.
If you have any further questions, consult your doctor for the best answers. Your doctor is a great resource for a multitude of questions about your health and baby’s health—subjects like your diet, exercising, signs of labor, cord blood banking, among many others. Your doctor is the best resource for the most accurate answer pertaining to your unique pregnancy.
Food Cravings During Pregnancy
Some researchers associate cravings with the hormonal changes that happen throughout pregnancy. Other professionals believe that cravings are an indication of nutrients missing in the diet. But there is no proven cause of cravings. Cravings can vary greatly between women. As long as they’re not harmful or too unhealthy, indulging in cravings every now and then will only make you a happier woman.
Here is an easy recipe for Mint-Chocolate Ice Milk to help serve as a sweet, healthier indulgence:
Combine 1 1/2 cups ice, 2-3 tbsp. of Hershey's chocolate sauce, 20 fresh mint sprigs, and 1/2 cup of regular soymilk or low-fat milk. Blend until all ingredients are pureed. Add 1 1/2 cups of soymilk to this mixture and blend until it is frothy. This should be served immediately.
Food Aversions
Sometimes during pregnancy, a pregnant woman will suddenly be repulsed by foods that she used to like—for me it was jello, gag! The smell of coffee brewing may nauseate you or suddenly your most favorite treat is now your most hated. Just like food cravings, food aversions in pregnancy have no solid explanation. They just happen.
An Exciting Time
Pregnancy is an exciting time for a mother-to-be. When you are eating for two, you should always be striving to eat the most nutritious foods for your developing baby. You may crave strange food combinations like cherries with scrambled eggs, or you may suddenly dislike foods that you once loved. But when the baby arrives, all of your nutritional habits will serve you and your healthy baby well.

Lets try this;
B is still screaming his head off with Colic :( I feel horrid!!!!
Earlier this week a friend called me up and said something about taking her little one to the chiro and asked if I'd like to join. I agreed that I'd go if Chance would agree that it was ok.
He was very weary about visiting the chiro with a baby. His argument was that he had never even been which is 100% understandable. Before I represented the idea to him I researched it. I read the good and the bad, I watched at least 10 videos on it, and I asked other people's opinions and observations.
Chance came home later in the evening and I brought it up to him. The first thing he said was "why are you SO obsessed with the chiro". I explained to him that as a mother I'm tired of hearing my baby scream and not having any sort of way to fix it. I presented him with a few of the videos as I left to go upstairs and tend to B. a few minutes later he came up and the first thing out of his mouth was "they hold them in the air by a foot"! I couldn't help but giggle and explain that they don't all do that to the baby and if she tried it with him is decline it.
He never said yes or no so I went ahea to the chiro. She asked if I had a hard labor and I told her not that I know of. There weren't any complications and pushing was fairly fast. She explained to me that even though B was two mouths old that his bones were still like a newborns would be. They were squished that bad. His leg, right arm, right side of him neck, back, hips, and his head were all adjusted. He whimpered a little when she touched spots and she explained that they were a bit sore. Other then that he didn't cry at all and did so well!
About the results... I haven't seen any yet but she did want to see us again today. I've also called my doctor to get a different kind of reflux medicine prescribed that is 'fast acting'. I truly hope these changes really help my little one out!
Sorry for the mommy rant, I have to tell someone!
