Catching up;

This past week has been long........

I got elected to be an Administrator on a Norfolk naval station spouse page and I am super excited! It's really fun to be a part of something that helps everyone out!

I also attended a baby shower for our ships ombudsmen. She's having a little girl after me but she is huge. Had tons of fun and finally met some new down to earth friends! Two of which are pregnant! It seems like everyone on the USS Mahan is pregnant or just having a baby. Deployments will do that to ya

Lately Chance has been trying to work out and lose weight for his PRT. I am SO proud of him! He's managed to lose 12 pounds in two weeks! Plus he's running 1.5 miles often so he's actually being healthier for himself! He makes me so happy :)

I FINALLY got the diaper bag I wanted. The new Lime's up by Vera Bradley. I love her stuff and I just had to have this diaper bag.

Yesterday we did our Maternity photo shoot. It was something I really wanted Chance involved in. We did it really early at 33.5 weeks because of Brantley's changing due date. We did the tradition corny pictures of the heart on the belly but we also had a little fun with it. Thankfully Chance agree to wear him NWUs in half the pictures. I was super happy for that. This is probably the only Navy baby we'll be having so I wanted Brantley to know what his daddy did and be proud of him!

I also went to the antique store! I ended up getting two Fenton hats one of which is Vaseline glass! I love it! I went thrifting as well and got an end table for $2! It's perfect! There's a book to put out shoes to the crazy dog doesn't try to eat them!

P.S. has anyone tried the wild berry tootsie pops? They're amazing.

I LOVE weekends. It's the only time Chance isn't dreadfully tired.

Saturday we decided instead of being lazy we could go visit harbor fest. It was part of Opsail 2012. Ships from every country came here to our harbor to do a parade of sorts. It was really cool to see all of the sails but I was dead after walking. Everything ached and I literally didn't want to move. We went ahead and headed to the mall to hang out instead of going home. I got a new earring and we found a cute puppy. We've talked about the puppy for days now and still aren't sure if we should bring him home. He's a doll.

Sunday we headed back to the mall to play with the pup and pick out some new bedding since it was on sale. We ended the night by meeting up with a couple from Chance's ship. We had a nice dinner and seen Snow White and the huntsman. I for one was not impressed with it. Chance and his friends didn't enjoy it very much either. I'm not a huge snow white fan to begin with.

I forgot to mention that when we got home Saturday Roscoe had apparently thought it would be fun to tear Chance's brand new magazine to shreds. It was everyone...

Today I've spent my day cleaning the house. Such a boring tedious task. On another note... I MADE NEW BLOG BUTTONS! If you'd like to swap mine are in my right side bar and let me know so I can pick your's up! I also got a pretty nifty new layout.

Yay for the weekend!

Finally a good weekend happened!!! Saturday Chance found a car show that was donating funds to the CHKD. We ended up attending to just look at the cars until he seen they had a dyno (it tells you how much HP your car has). We left to return home clean out the civic SI and head back. We ended up meeting up with a friend and the Civic finally got to run on the dyno. Chance was SO happy and giddy. It's contagious. Saturday night we went and saw battleship and I honestly was too impressed. They filmed on the John Paul Jones to give an inside look at a naval ship except half the spaces they filmed in weren't on a ship at all and the 25% that were weren't a part of the type of Arleigh Burke destroyer that the John Paul Jones is. I also though the movie had to much going on. It seemed so packed and it was already over 2 hours long.

Sunday we waited around for Chance's friend to go to the patriotic festival at the beach. The Blue Angels were up from Pensacola. It was nice to see a part of home. I ended up walking more then 35 blocks!!! My tummy was so hard and everything was hurting!!! We got in the water but only for a few minutes due to the rip currents. They were so strong and the beaches here don't have flags warning people of the dangers like we have in FL. We left before the free concert and came home only to leave again shortly to go grocery shopping for the first time in a month. We had NO food at all.

Yesterday we finally swam in the complexes pool. Unfortunately there were children there whose parents didn't seem to care about how wild they were. Pisses me off!!! I also fried squash for the first time. I LOVE fried squash and miss it so much!!

Baby Update: this week Brantley flipped again so his head was up. He was kicking my bladder and making me pee like crazy. Now he's flipped again. His feet are pushing on my right rib and it hurts so bad! Chunky baby needs out!

Yesterday was probably the longest day I've had in a long time.

The morning was actually quite great. Chance got to meet me at our local community college for a free 3D ultrasound (the students have to practice on someone!). We got some awesome pictures of Brantley! He looks just like me when I was a newborn!!! His bottom lip is a bit bigger like Daddy's and he smiles like his daddy. We also got to see all of his measurements and he's measuring ahead... So far that the college estimated his due date at July 27 instead of August 8. He is suppose to be nearly 3lbs but could be anywhere from 3lbs 1oz to 3lbs 10oz. He is gonna be big!!!

After the ultrasound we grabbed some lunch and Chance had to head back to the ship to finish his work. Unfortunately he didn't even get to come home after work because he got off so late and we had a mandatory hurricane brief. The brief was the most boring thing ever. HELLO I'm from Florida I know about this stuff. We did win a $25 goofy golf certificate so free date night out of it?

We decided to go out for dinner since it was later and I don't think we'll ever eat at chillis by the base again. We waited for our food for 45 mins. My drink had ice, Chance didn't get his water, we waited for our drinks to be refilled and when our food finally came my plate was so hot and my food wasn't even warm like it had been in the microwave. Horrible service needless to say.

That made my day super long. Today on the other hand I've had another pointless doctors appointment. Brantley's heart beat has began to slow down. He's ready to come!!! He's already flipped over so his head is down. Such a relief!!! Now I'm home entertaining baby puppy while the husband is on duty. Boo duty days.
